Kona Coffee Blooms: Catching the Fragrant Snow!
Every spring, something special happens on the Big Island. Forget snowstorms, because Kona coffee farms transform into a beautiful sight – we call it "Kona Snow." But instead of snowflakes, it's a blanket of delicate white coffee blossoms!
Kona Coffee Harvest Season
The coffee harvest season at Monarch Coffee Farm usually starts with coffee cherry fruit ripening in August and runs into late December with late September to early November being our busiest time.
Fruits of our Labor
Continuing to build Monarch’s reputation of excellence. Kona snow season arrived, indicating that harvest will be arriving shortly once again. We are proud of what we have accomplished in our first few years at Monarch Coffee Farm.
Orchids at Monarch Coffee Farm
Have you had a chance to see orchids growing in the wild? They like to find spots that have a favorable medium, where they have put down their sparse roots. You can find them on our coffee farm in Hawaii in the rock walls, rotting tree fern trunks, and even in the rain gutters! They grow pretty much in any habitat except in the glaciers.
