Aloha! We are Greg and Susy Stille, the founders of Monarch Coffee. We spent 32 years falling in love with the Hawaiian Islands before we began the great adventure that led us to the Big Island, the home of Kona coffee.
We started out with very few trees on a modest, two-acre farm on Maui—picking the coffee cherries, hand pulping, milling, drying, and test roasting in small batches. Through those early experiences we started to learn all about coffee and what goes into making the perfect cup.
Our knowledge quickly expanded and so did we! We got the hang of the coffee-making process and grew into a larger farm in Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii, which we now know as Monarch Coffee.
