Bidding Farewell to Our Incredible 2023-2024 Harvest Interns!
As the sun sets on another harvest season here at the farm, we say a heartfelt goodbye to our amazing 2023-2024 interns, Tanner, Larisa, and Erynne. These dedicated individuals spent the past five months living and working alongside us, and their contributions have been invaluable.
For five months, they immersed themselves in the world of coffee, going beyond harvest and production to learn the intricacies of roasting, sensory evaluation, and brewing. They played a vital role in our success, picking and processing over 20,000 pounds of coffee cherry – a truly impressive feat! Their enthusiasm and willingness to learn shone through in every task they undertook, and their ability to adapt and "pivot" when needed never ceased to amaze us.
But beyond their hard work, Tanner, Larisa, and Erynne brought a special something to our farm family. They led countless farm tours, sharing their knowledge and passion for sustainable agriculture with our visitors. They brought laughter, camaraderie, and a fresh perspective to our daily lives, making this a truly memorable season for all of us.
A New Chapter Begins
We're excited to announce that Erynne will be continuing her journey with us! She's accepted a position assisting Abby with our coffee roasting operations and will also be taking on the responsibility of managing the 2024-2025 intern program. We're thrilled to have her expertise and infectious enthusiasm on board.
As for Tanner and Larisa, we wish them all the best in their future endeavors. Tanner will be heading back to California to pursue his passion for organic farming, while Larisa will be putting her new dietician license to use in a clinical setting in the Napa area. We have no doubt they will continue to shine in their chosen paths.
